What does the 3‑Year Extended Warranty cover?Functional failures of your dispenser’s dispensing mechanism, lid locking & sealing system, and drawer operation. If any of those parts jam, mis‑align, stick, or stop sealing, we’ll repair or replace the unit.

What’s not covered?Cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs, discoloration), damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or non‑Houndsy parts. Consumables (e.g., gaskets) are also excluded.

Who can buy this warranty?Only the original purchaser whose standard 1‑year warranty is still active. If your original warranty has already expired, or you bought the dispenser second‑hand, you’re not eligible. Kickstarter backers qualify only if their dispenser is still within its first year.

When can I add the warranty?Any time within 12 months of your original dispenser purchase. Coverage begins the day your standard warranty ends and runs for three additional years (years 2‑4).

How do you verify eligibility?At checkout we require your original order # / email. Our system matches it to the purchase date and dispenser serial. If we can’t verify eligibility, we automatically cancel and refund the warranty order—no hoops for you.

I own multiple dispensers—do I need more than one warranty?Yes. One warranty = one dispenser. Use the quantity selector to match the number of dispensers you own.

What if I buy the wrong quantity?Our team reviews every order. If the quantities don’t match, we’ll email you to adjust or refund the difference so you’re never over‑ or under‑covered.

Does the warranty transfer if I gift or resell my dispenser?Yes—coverage stays with the physical unit for the remainder of the term. The new owner just needs the original order confirmation to make a claim.

How do I make a claim and will I pay shipping?1) Send photos or a quick video of the issue. 2) We provide a prepaid return label. 3) You receive a fully inspected, refurbished replacement—no repair or shipping costs to you.
